It was hard to get pictures of our Junior Chefs making dirt cups as they were pretty quick at sneaking bites! Thanks to She Knows Chef Mom for sharing some Earth Day recipes.
Whisk milk and instant pudding for 2 minutes, until pudding is completely dissolved. Let stand 5 minutes to thicken. Stir in whipped topping and 1/2 cup of the crushed cookies.
Fill cups or bowl with pudding mixture and top with remaining cookie crumbs. Place gummy worms in "dirt." Chill until ready to serve.
Tips and adjustments: we put the cookies in ziploc bags for the kids to crush with rolling pins (and their fingers)
If you use slightly less milk it will make the pudding set faster, so the kids can eat it quicker!
I didn't actually measure out the whipped cream – just gave everyone a big 'dollop' of it
Be sure to have extra gummy worms on hand 🙂
