Easy Groundhog Day Crafts for Kids and Babies

January 28, 2015momstownBaby, Family Life, Parenting, Preschooler, ToddlersNo comments
Groundhog Day is coming soon and Brampton children are waiting anxiously to see if the groundhog sees his shadow!

Brampton moms andkids are celebrating Groundhog Day this week. We're making groundhog headbands, groundhog puppets and even groundhog babies with baby feet.

Legend has it that if the Groundhog comes out of his burrow and sees his shadow, it’s 6 more weeks of winter. We'll play with our shadows indoors and hope that the groundhog doesn’t see his shadow on February 2. I don’t know about you, but I have had enough of winter!

Sung to the tune of I’m a Little Teapot:

Here's a little groundhog, furry and brown,
He's popping up to look around.
If he sees his shadow, down he'll go.
Then six more weeks of winter, oh no!
