My family was excited to dine at Turtle Jack's Brampton – me especially because I didn’t have to cook! Always a hit when mom doesn’t have “what’s for dinner” on her mind all day long.
Turtle Jack's Brampton was fairly busy for a weekday evening, but that doesn’t mean the service was lacking – far from it! We had a waitress spend time getting my order just right and answering hubby’s questions about the wine list. This location was modern, comfortable and clean.
The re-designed KIDS MENU has a large variety of options, including beef tacos, chicken caesar, steak, pizza and more. Our young guest ordered the honey garlic wings, which were very large and tasty. They came complete with veggies and dip.You know kids wIll eat more veggies when there's dipping involved, right?
Kids will keep busy colouring the camping scene, but the 3D punch-out activity was innovative and something that keeps kids engaged while waiting for dinner to arrive. They even get a SPORK to take home! What’s a spork? You’ll have to go to find out!
Turtle Jack's Muskoka Grill conjured up memories of summer at the family cottage so I had to start with a DOCK-SIDE SIPPER and I just had to eat fish! I had the BLACKENED BASA (pictured below) served on a bed of Yukon gold lobster mashed potatoes, topped with guacamole and in-house chimichurri sauce and fresh in-season vegetables. Absolutely amazing!
Hubby had his usual NEW YORK STRIP LOIN STEAK, cooked to perfection, and very lean with a pink line through the middle. A Greek salad, in-season veggies, mushrooms and curly onions were included. We were so full we did not order dessert but there are many delicious options on the DESSERT MENU including the Lake Rousseau Butter Tart, Muskookie, or the Turtle Pie, or…..
I had a couple members of the family who had dietary concerns and it was wonderful to see Turtle Jack’s had a NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION page on their website. It was so convenient to make the right choice from home while reviewing their extensive website. They have a GLUTEN-FREE MENU as well.
We had been to this location when it opened a few years ago and I’m wondering why I hadn’t been back! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner out and will visit again soon. With over 60 items on the menu, you can experience new tastes over and over. Brampton's Turtle Jack's restaurant is located at 20 Cottrelle Blvd at the corner of Airport Road and Cottrelle Blvd.
