How do Dinosaurs Stay Safe? Scholastic Book of the Month

May 15, 2015momstownFamily Life, FeaturedNo comments
Few things in childhood are as important as learning how to behave safely, and the topic deserves discussion in every family. Brampton moms and kids gathered at Tales for Tots to see how author Jane Yolen and illustrator Mark Teague handle these life’s lessons. Simply stated with plenty of humor, the adults enjoyed How Do Dinosaurs Stay Safe as much as the children.

There was plenty of stomping, clawing and nashing of the teeth at our May Tales for Tots event. Scholastic Canada always provides the best books to make learning fun for momstown children.

DINO POKEY:

You put your claws in, you take your claws out,
You put your claws in, and you scratch 'em all about.
You do the DINO POKEY And you turn yourself around.
That's what it's all about!

Additional Verses:
feet in, feet out, stomp them all about

teeth in, teeth out, chomp them all about

tail in, tail out, wag it all about

Thanks Scholastic for another winning book at this month's Tales for Tots!

To complete this event, we searched for dinosaurs in our sensory bin and found many astouding treasures!
