Our Event Co-ordinator Melissa started the program with Circle Time then while she was taping a couple disposable table cloths to the floor, the moms got busy stripping the babies down to their diapers.
Everyone got a canvas and used masking tape to make their initials. The “paints” were simply strawberry, banana and chocolate puddings as well as a mixture of food colouring, cornstarch and water. Some of the babies went to the paints right away, others needed a little more coaxing but all loved licking the “paint” off the paintbrushes!
This age group does well with sensory activities and Edible Paints allowed them the opportunity to explore with their hands, taste buds and eyes. Eventually, almost all the babies ended up covered from head to toe in finger paints, but that’s what soap and water is for, right?
We meet every Thursday morning from 10-11am. If you have a little one between the ages of 8-18 months, sign up on the calendar and join the momstown Movers! The next event is Oooey Gooey Sensory Fun…I wonder what that could mean??
